Congress history
The International Congress of Precision Machining [ICPM] was established in 2001 in response to the increased necessity for ever greater precision in manufacturing production. The Congress originated out of a common agreement between universities of the Czech Republic. The considerable success of the first Congress confirmed the importance of the subject areas and signalled the internationalisation of the congress commencing with other European countries.
The ICPM is a biennial event held in early to mid autumn. The Congress is developing into a major international event with a growing number of international delegates participating to exchange their research findings with other researchers and practitioners. The previous Congress hosts were:
